About Feather Light Sighthounds
With over 30 years of knowledge and experience, Feather Light Sighthounds is dedicated to raising exquisite and graceful sighthounds.
Meet the Owner
In 1991, Becky was introduced to working cowdogs. During her high school and college years, she worked for dairy farmers in Colorado. While running sorting alleys at the local Livestock Sale Barn, Becky also trained her own dogs. In 1996, Becky purchased Double J Pet Ranch, the largest boarding and training facility on the front range of Northern Colorado.
For 10 years, Becky dedicated her time and energy to her clients’ dogs while simultaneously developing her stockdog breeding program. After being introduced to the “Trial World” by Mr. Roger Culbreath in 1996, Becky was hooked. Many wonderful people—including Roy Cox, Keith Gilleon, Aaron Hayes and James Clark—have mentored Becky, which has helped her become the stockdog handler and trainer she is today.
After moving to Texas in 2004, Becky opened Feather Light Sighthounds, which has allowed her to focus more on her family and her desire to operate a strong, ethical stockdog program.
The Lord has blessed us with two wonderful girls, Shaelee and Wylie, who put a smile on my face and a reason in my heart every day. I thank God for our family and friends, and will serve our clients to the best of our abilities.
